Great lights, but some minor issues to consider
Steve Sawrey (Mobile, AL) 2/6/2010 12:45 PM
These are great lights so buy them. They look awesomely aggressive and get a lot of attention. I bought them about 7 months ago and installed just as instructed by the paperwork, but was having issues with the headlights functioning properly and it has taken me until this morning to finally stumble across the remedy (via search engines on the internet) after much troubleshooting and many headaches. There is a grounding issue with the headlights that did allow them to work, but not properly. So before you install them, make sure the harness plugs on the lights are wired correctly. It's a simple fix by swapping the ground (middle) wire with the projector wire, which is normally the blue wire. I clipped the 2 wires behind the plug leaving myself enough room to install waterproof butt splices and simply switched the wires around and BOOM!--lights work fantastic. I've made 360tuners aware of this issue so you may not have to do anything to your set, but, if so, hopefully there will be a set of adendum instructions. Just visually confirm that when looking at the back of the light assembly plug (flat side of plug facing up) that the red is on the left, blue is in the middle, and black is on the right. The only other real issue will be that you may have to cut out the divider plate between the access openings in the fender and make one large opening in order for the lights to fit flush at all fastener points. If you don't, you will most assuredly tear the eyelet for the marker screw and will compromise the integrity of the fit (as I initially did and had to repair--NOT a fun task on an expensively new set of lights). Like I say, these are awesome and 15 minutes of extra prep will make your experience a lot less stressful than mine.
